LS9 and the GoingGreen 100 Top Private Companies for 2007 will be honored at AlwaysOn GoingGreen to be held at the University of California in Davis from September 10 - 12. GoingGreen is a two-and-a-half-day executive gathering that highlights the significant impact clean technologies have on new economic growth and in sustainable use of natural resources. The idea behind the GoingGreen 100 top private companies list is to identify the most promising entrepreneurial opportunities and investments in the clean technology industry.

LS9 has developed products and technologies that directly overcome the primary hurdles facing the widespread adoption of renewable transportation fuels. Pushing the frontiers of synthetic biology and industrial biotechnology, LS9 has created industrial microbes that efficiently convert renewable feedstocks to a portfolio of "drop in compatible" products that are equivalent to petroleum, compatible with existing distribution and consumer infrastructure, renewable and cost competitive with petroleum - without subsidies. These products can either go directly into vehicles or be sent to a refinery for further processing.

"We are extremely happy to be recognized for our pursuit of renewable and domestically-produced DesignerBiofuels(TM) products," said LS9 President Bob Walsh. "We believe our products will quickly and dramatically effect the transportation fuels landscape, such that one day, every vehicle might run on these products."
