Our Infrastructure

LS9’s head quarters and main innovation center is in South San Francisco. There are approximately 78 employees at this site including: Research & Development, Process Engineering, Finance, Business Development, Commercial, Human Resources and Executive Management. Our laboratory capabilities encompasses strain engineering, enzyme engineering, synthetic biology, biochemistry, bioinformatics, analytical chemistry, automation, high-throughput screening, feedstock evaluation, bio-process development, recovery development, and pilot plant.

In Okeechobee, FL, LS9 has a product scale demonstration facility (135kl) and potential larger scale fermentation capability (4 vessels @ 750kl each) which could produce approximately 10 million gallons per year of product.

In Sao Paolo Brazil we have our commercial office LS9 Brasil Biotecnologia Ltda, presently at Av. Roque Petroni Jr. 999, 13th Floor, Sao Paulo, S.P. 04707-910. And will soon be establishing a technology center at Parque Tecnologico de Piracicaba.
